Ensuring
Lasting Love and Marriage
How did our
fore-parents do it? How did they manage their life to live longer
when medical care was not as sophisticated as it is today? How
come marriage for them lasted a lifetime?
The answer is simple. Our grandparents used a marriage system
that worked. It worked in the sense that those who got married
within the established system enjoyed lasting love, respect, and
commitment. That is why with very few resources our fore-parents
were able to raise their children and even grandchildren successfully.
That success is visible in the central roles played by their descendants
in all aspects of everyday life in Africa today.
Unfortunately today things have changed. Various factors –
education, career, financial status, kyeeyo – have either
made individuals too busy to socialize and meet their potential
partners, or have driven them abroad where effective socializing
becomes more difficult and complicated. In addition the key roles
of Ssenga and Kojja have been displaced by an uncaring modern
education system.
Empeta International does not believe in computer manipulation
and matching. Individuals have unique feelings and personalities
which simply cannot be successfully matched on a computer. We
therefore have reinvented the Ssenga and Kojja institutions. We
use existing skills drawn from our indigenous knowledge systems
to give the process a personal touch that ensures a successful
match.
Because of our interest in the suitability of the match, individuals
are required to upload comprehensive CVs with bio data and provide
two character references. These are kept strictly confidential
and treated with absolute respect. Empeta International will then
contact individuals to start a communication process that will
eventually lead to a successful match.
